Zofia Owczarek

Zofia graduated with a master’s degree in Sports Law and Management (Sports Management & Legal Skills with FC Barcelona) from ISDE Barcelona in Spain, as well as a degree in International and European Law from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. She also received an Honors Diploma from the University of Groningen, awarded to the best students for outstanding scientific achievements.
She gained professional experience at Spanish law firms specializing in international sports law, where she participated in complex proceedings before FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). She prepared and analyzed procedural documents for cases involving breaches of contractual obligations, club bankruptcy, unjustified contract terminations, and disputes over compensation damages.
She also participated in anti-doping proceedings, preparing defense strategies and legal documentation in cases before national and international bodies. She also drafted transfer agreements, international contracts, and player contracts. Her work included preparing documents compliant with FIFA regulations and protecting clients’ interests.
She gained experience in regulating football agents, advising them on disputes, and focused her bachelor’s thesis on the FIFA Football Agent Regulations and their compliance with European Union competition law. Her master’s thesis, in turn, focused on ethics and responsibility in the management of women’s football, with particular emphasis on the realities of the Spanish football system.

• Advice on player transfers, including the preparation of transfer agreements in accordance with FIFA and national federation regulations, as well as ensuring the interests of players, agents, and clubs are secured.
• Advice on creating contracts, including developing and analyzing agreements between players and agents, as well as between clubs and agents.
• Advice on anti-doping proceedings, including preparation of legal argumentation, procedural documentation, and strategies.
