The founders of the law firm have unique experience in advising business clients (entrepreneurs, companies, business organizations, industry leaders and employers’ associations), public institutions, as well as think-tanks and political groups.

We have also supported public authorities with our opinions and projects: in Poland (e.g. the Sejm and the President of the Republic of Poland, ministries, central state authorities), abroad (e.g. the Parliament of Georgia), internationally (EU bodies, e.g. the European Economic and Social Committee).

We boast extensive experience in representing clients before public administrative authorities and national and supranational judicial authorities at all instances, including: the Supreme Administrative Court, the Supreme Court, the Constitutional Tribunal, the European Court of Human Rights, the General Court, and the Court of Justice of the European Union, as well as renowned arbitration courts and tribunals. 

We work closely with partner law firms from Slovakia (Bratislava), Lithuania (Vilnius and Kaunas), Latvia (Riga), Estonia (Tallinn), Ukraine (Kiev and Lviv) and Portugal (Lisbon).

The firm also operates two branches, located outside the Warsaw office:

  • Belgian-Dutch Desk in Brussels, engaged in providing services to Polish clients in the Benelux countries, and dedicated to projects covering issues of European Union law (with particular emphasis on the burgeoning EU legislation and the case law of the Court of Justice and the General Court of the European Union);
  • Poznań Desk, focused on serving clients from western Poland, particularly the Wielkopolska (Greater Poland) region.

In addition, due to the long-standing experience of the Firm’s team in providing services to foreign or Polish clients abroad, we have  developed (and are continuing to expand) a network of contacts with lawyers, entrepreneurs and business organisations in the United Kingdom, Spain, Austria, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Croatia, Sweden and the United States.

The Firm’s Partners have also acted as experts for foreign public authorities in the past, having drawn up expert reports for various bodies of the European Union (European Economic and Social Committee, European Parliament, Parliament of Georgia) and having advised, operating at a supranational level, non-governmental organisations.

In addition to their university activities, they have held research and didactic visiting professorships at renowned foreign research centres, have acted as speakers at numerous international conferences, and have been active in the pursuit of increased internationalisation of Polish legal science and scholarship.

The law firm engages in numerous social initiatives, financially supports academic, scientific and didactic events, and provides free assistance to individuals in difficult personal situations and non-governmental institutions in important public matters, including:

  • regular provision of financial support for the organisation of the annual scientific-integration zero-point camp for newly admitted law students of Warsaw University and Jagiellonian University in Poronin;
  • repeated sponsorship of scientific conferences, academic seminars and competitions for students;
  • acting as an official Partner of the Round Table and Co-organiser of the 10th edition of the Freedom Games event, held on 15-17 September 2023 in Łódź;
  • expert cooperation with non-governmental organisations involved in legal, economic and social issues (i.a. the Law and Economy Laboratory Foundation, the “Cicero Institute” Foundation for Freedom and the Rule of Law, the Iustitia Association of Polish Judges);
  • conduct and handling of pro bono cases for individual clients in difficult personal situations;

  • representation of clients from the real estate sector before the Supreme Administrative Court in landmark cases in the field of construction law and spatial planning;
  • strategic advisory for a nationwide organization of financial institutions in a landmark case before the Supreme Court;
  • representation of clients before the Court of Justice and the General Court of the European Union (including the achievement of a favourable decision of the CJEU in a case against the European Parliament);
  • formulation of an interdisciplinary, economic and legal expert opinion on the reform of the social security system;
  • drawing up of several comprehensive legislative analyses;
  • representation of a bank in several dozen proceedings before the Supreme Court;

The relationship between the Law Firm and the Client is governed by the General Terms and Conditions of Legal Services, which the Client acquaints oneself with before entering into an agreement with the Law Firm (letter of engagement). These documents define the framework and detailed principles of cooperation, including the principles of remuneration, liability of the Law Firm, confidentiality, processing of personal data and avoidance of conflicts of interest.

In particular, the Law Firm usually uses four remuneration schemes:

  • hourly rates,
  • hourly rates with a cap,
  • subscription,
  • and lump sum.

The contract between the Law Firm and the Client is also governed by generally applicable provisions of law and regulations established by the attorney’s bar and the legal advisors’ association.
