Last Friday, 24 April 2026, Warsaw played host to the 13th National Scientific Conference on Sports Law. The event was organised by the “Ius et Sport” Sports Law Student Association at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw (WPiA UW). Jabłoński Koźmiński i Wspólnicy (JKLAW) was honoured to serve as the event’s Substantive Patron, contributing not only as sponsors but as active participants in the day’s most vital debates.
Our Experts on Stage
- Wojciech Kiełbasiński, Radca Prawny (Attorney-at-Law) and Partner at JKLAW, featured in a panel discussing transfer bans as sanctions in association football. The discussion interrogated whether the prohibition on registering new players constitutes a disciplinary measure sensu stricto, or rather an instrument designed to safeguard the integrity of the football market. It is a question without a simple answer, which is precisely why it demands rigorous examination among leading experts.
- Zofia Owczarek, Consultant at JKLAW, participated in a panel exploring the nexus between consumer law and anti-doping regulations. The session addressed the duality of supplements and sports-related products: items that may be deemed safe for the average consumer yet remain potentially disqualifying for professional athletes.
