On November 23, 2023 The inauguration ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Latvia in Bialystok took place in the Branicki Palace, which was co-organized by the Jabłoński Kozminski Law Firm.

We are very pleased to announce that the function of Honorary Consul has been taken over by Of counsel of the Jabłoński Kozminski Law Firm – Artur Olechno, PhD, DSc, prof. UwB from the Faculty of Law of the University of Bialystok.

Honorary Consul dr hab. Artur Olechno, prof. UwB is employed in the Department of Constitutional Law. He specializes in constitutional and constitutional law. His research interests include systems of government, with particular emphasis on Eastern European countries. It’s m.in. author of a legal opinion on the draft amendments to the Constitution and the system of government of the Republic of Latvia.

The event was hosted by His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to Poland Juris Poikāns and the newly appointed Honorary Consul of Latvia in Bialystok. The ceremony at the Branicki Palace was attended by m.in. representatives of the diplomatic corps of Latvia, honorary consuls of the Baltic countries, representatives of the scientific and business communities, local government officials and members of parliament from Podlasie, as well as many employees of the University of Bialystok.
