Yesterday, at the Collegium Iuridicum I at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw (WPiA UW), an open seminar was held, organized by the UW Regulatory Impact Assessment Center, devoted to an opinion on security proceedings in intellectual property matters – provisions introduced by the amendment to the Code of Civil Procedure of 9 March 2023.
The experts from the scientific community, representatives of public administration bodies, the pharmaceutical community, decision-makers, regulators, and practitioners discussed the legal, economic, and systemic consequences of the introduced regulations.
Among the speakers were also experts from our Law Firm – dr hab. Krzysztof Koźmiński, prof. UW , Managing Partner of Jabłoński Koźmiński i Wspólnicy Law Firm – actively involved in creating opinions as the Head of the Regulatory Impact Assessment Centre at the University of Warsaw and moderator of the discussion, and an active participant of the seminar – dr Łukasz Wydra , Partner at Jabłoński Koźmiński & Partners Law Firm, and Leader of the Arbitration practice.
We would like to thank all participants for their presence and substantive debate. Such meetings confirm how important it is to thoroughly assess the impact of regulations and to cooperate between the worlds of science, business, and public administration.
