We encourage you to read the article “Lawyers: The Polish Government Unnecessarily Sowed Confusion in the Case of the Israeli Delegation,” published in Rzeczpospolita Magazine.

In the latest Lawyers’ Panel, experts analyze the controversy surrounding the government’s resolution to ensure the safety of the Israeli delegation during the celebrations of the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.

As our expert, dr hab. Krzysztof Koźmiński, prof. UW – Managing Partner at Jabłoński Koźmiński & Partners Law Firm, notes, this issue lacked any real basis—de facto, there were no plans for the Israeli delegation to arrive, yet the topic was publicized, resulting in political escalation:

“The decision-makers failed to clarify their stance, leading me to conclude that the only explanation is the creation of unnecessary conflicts driven by political emotions and the need to mobilize voters”.

In the opinion of 62% of the experts of the Panel of Lawyers, the Resolution of the Council of Ministers guaranteeing the safety of the delegation of the Israeli authorities to the commemoration of the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz extermination camp is contrary to the standards of the rule of law.
