When the system fails—on university’s responsibility to protect student rights

The representatives of the injured graduates of Collegium Humanum (currently “Varsovia”) take further action in both civil and administrative law, handling complex, multi-faceted cases involving private and public law.


Dr hab. Krzysztof Koźmiński, prof. UW, and Managing Partner at Jabłoński Koźmiński & Partners Law Firm, spoke to the Rzeczpospolita magazine on the matter. He, along with attorney-at-law Barbara Pietrzyk-Tobiasz and attorney-at-law Wojciech Kiełbasiński (from Kancelaria dla Nauki Law Firm), represents a group of affected students. 

As dr hab. Krzysztof Koźmiński, prof. UW, notes, the attorneys representing the affected students are still actively working. Although progress is slow, the first successes are gradually emerging. We are dealing with a situation where the failure lies not in the students’ knowledge or commitment but in the institutions responsible for safeguarding the quality and legality of the educational process. Each additional day of uncertainty causes a real loss for those affected.
