We encourage you to watch the program “Blajer mówi: BIZNES” – Dwa projekty w sprawie ślepego pozwu (Two drafts concerning a blind lawsuit), in which the guest of Paweł Blajer was attorney Patrycja Rejnowicz – Janowska – Counsel at Jabłoński Koźmiński & Partners Law Firm. The subject of the conversation was new legal solutions in the fight against hate and illegal content on the Internet.
The starting point for the discussion was the draft of an act amending the Code of Civil Procedure, which provides for the creation of three separate proceedings dedicated to violations related to the dissemination of illegal content:
- against persons of known identity,
- against anonymous persons,
- against intermediate service providers.
This project aims to:
- increasing the legal protection of natural and legal persons,
- provide faster and more effective claims settlement,
- supplement the provisions arising from the EU Digital Services Act (DSA).
In an era of growing problems of anonymous hate and fake news, the proposed changes may constitute a significant step towards protecting reputation and personal interests and building responsibility in the digital space.
